Fail Forward To Success

This might sound like the most crazy thing you have ever hear but it is true. How many people do you actually know or have hear of that have achieved success without some failure in there lives. To achieve the greatest success, you have to embrace the prospect of failure, you have to Fail Forward. With every failure comes an important lesson, learn from them, adapt and overcome from them and you will reach success.

The saying nothing taste sweeter than victory but what tastes better is victory after overcoming adversity. Adversity that requires you to dig deep inside, to fight with everything you’ve got, to be willing to leave everything on the field—without knowing, until that do-or-die moment, if your valiant effort will be enough. Champions are remembered, losers are not… you need to decide what you want to be in life.

By failing forward you overcome adversity , those failures become stepping stones to your future success. Such is the case with Thomas Edison, whose most memorable invention was the light bulb. Thomas Edison failed 1000 times before he developed his successful prototype. He was reported saying that he NEVER FAILED, but rather just found 10 000 ways that did not work.

The legendary basketball player Michael Jordan said  “I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Life’s Greatest Teacher is Failure

There is nothing wrong with failing in life, its part of it and its all about learning, what is wrong is when we give up, when we let failure beat us and we don’t carry on pursuing out passions.  Failure and defeat are life’s greatest teachers and sadly, most people, don’t want to go there.  People instead they choose to play it safe, to fly under the radar, not taking chances and repeating the same safe choices over and over again. People operate under the belief that if they make no noise or attract no attention; no one will yell at them for failing because they generally never attempt anything great at which they could possibly fail or succeed at. Our kids are taught now days that it is ok to come second, third and 15th, they get trophies for coming last and all this teaches them is that it is ok to be mediocre, its ok to not be the best and in doing this they do not give there very best.

“The quickest road to success is to possess a NO FEAR attitude toward failure. That is why I say Fail Forward, embrace failure and LEARN FROM IT. The feeling of success is far greater than the feeling of failure, so use that as motivation to keep moving forward.

How to Reach Your Potential

In order to achieve success, to reach remarkable levels, to make the impossible possible, you can’t fear failure, you must think big, and you have to push yourself. When we think of people with this mindset, we imagine the daredevils, the pioneers, the inventors, the explorers: They embrace failure as a necessary step to unprecedented success. You don’t have to put a super hero to employ this mindset into your life, you have it inside of you already. Think of your goal, is it worth the risk? If it is, stop worrying and make the decision to go after it day and night. To achieve any success you must take risks, turn your mistakes into your stepping stones for success. If you do not…well then you will always just wonder what your life could be and just end up a sad little person. Every successful entrepreneur, every champion was once a failure and a rookie that just never gave up. Don’t be that person that gives up.

Have a Fearless Mindset

We all have our strengths which we must follow and use in order to reach our goal, this is called our power zone. Then we have our comfort zone which we need to get out of. Once we get out our comfort but keep in our power zone you will gain the momentum needed to keep moving forward, keep going until the job is done. That is what winning is about, forward momentum, even when you fail, fail forward! Either way, you’ll learn more than ever about your strengths and weaknesses during this process, and you’ll strengthen your mind for the next challenge.

Maintain PMA ( Positive Mental Attitude )

This has to be the hardest thing to focus on and achieve, I mean come on, when you counting pennies and then you have some shitty luck and something breaks on your car, the first thing to do is scream why me , why me? It is hard to stay positive, no matter what you encounter. The first is to consciously maintain a positive mental attitude so that, no matter what you encounter, you’ll be able to see the lessons of the experience and continue to push forward.  I have seen and know that not everyone is positive by nature , some are very negative and dont even realise this. You have to recognise this and actively choose to think positively everyday no matter what the outcome, always look for the good in every situation even if it is shitty.
