Rising From Rock Bottom
How many times have you thought,nothing can get worse than it is and then Baaam, out of no where a fricken bus side swipes you and takes the sail out of the little wind you thought you had. A few years ago I had everything I wanted, the business, nice girl friend, nice house, nice car , went on holidays and was able to do what I wanted and then I was hit by some bad luck and lost everything apart from my car, which was a saving grace really as I ended up pretty much living out my car when I was between jobs.
I am not a quitter and knew that to start off fresh again I had to dig deep, pick up my balls and get some momentum going. The gym was my sanctuary ( and the place I showered due to living out my car ) , it was my place that no matter what shit I was dealing with I could escape to and just go train. I used this as motivation to and through training properly gained the discipline to get back on my feet. Within a few months I met my now SOUL MATE and WIFE and since then have gone from strength to strength. Sure I haven’t hit all my goals and I still deal with some personal crap but I am happier now than I have ever been in my life. I met a woman who is perfect for me, she pushes, inspires and motivates me to reach my goals. She gave me a book to read called THE SECRET by Rhonda Byrne. After reading this book everything clicked on how I managed to attract my wife into my life. You see what become apparent and through more reading is, OUR THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS and WHAT WE THINK ABOUT MOST, WE MANIFEST INTO.
Not sure about you about when I focus on negative stuff I just cant seem to get rid of “bad luck” something will always go wrong. Then you hear people say oh well you know bad luck comes in three’s, so then you end up thinking about having more bad luck and baaam you attract another shitty negative situation into your life. The more you focus on the negatives – daily inconveniences, setbacks, hurdles, etc.- the more those things seem to grow and consume your time? Just think of the morning training when you are already late for work or a meeting, its like the damn zombie apocalypse has risen on your morning drive to work. When shit goes wrong as it sometimes will focus on positive developments in your life and business, and cultivating a deeper appreciation for those good things, you will shift your focus toward appreciation for the things that turn out well and attract more good into your life.
If you think negatively you will attract more negativity into your life and the same is with having a Positive Mental Attitude.
When you hit rock bottom, you realise just how far off the track you were, and that the life choices you had made were not inline with what was sustainable towards your goals…if you had any? This is the beginning of questioning everything that you’ve ever thought and done previously. You question your motives, other people’s motives, your beliefs, your fears, why you did things, why you didn’t do things, why you attracted certain people and circumstances, why you succeeded and more importantly why you failed. It’s from this point that you build again, from the ground up, with a fresh perspective based on your renewed sense of clarity. In those moments of darkness , when you’re sitting there pissed off with yourself and the world, when you are frustrated beyond belief, it is then you can actually see the light. It is time to let go of the past failures and balls ups and focus on the future.

Be Grateful Everyday
People who approach life with a sense of gratitude are constantly aware of what’s amazing in their life. Because they enjoy the fruits of their successes, they seek out more success. And when things don’t go as planned, people who are grateful can put failure into perspective. You see, there is no negativity in gratitude so when you are grateful for anything there is always a sense of happiness and where there is happiness there is positivity.
Being grateful can increase your feelings of vitality, positivity, optimism and reduces feelings of depression. The more happy, vibrant , alive and healthy you fee will lead to more success. Remember, what you think about most you become and if your constantly thinking about success and working hard for it you will achieve it. This is how The Law of Attraction works. With positive feelings, comes confidence and you may be more inclined to take a leap of faith which is often necessary when taking your success to the next level. This is one of the major reasons success and gratitude go hand-in-hand.

Evening Session was a Barbell Pull Session with Lunges and Farmer Carries.

- Rack Pulls 4 Sets 12, 10, 8, 6
- Slow Assisted Pull ups 4 Sets 12, 10, 8, 6
- Bicep Curls 4 Sets 12, 10, 8, 6
- Walking lunges 24 lunges x 4 sets
- Farmer Carries with 60kg weight
Finished off the workout with a 20min outdoor walk.
As I am visiting my folk I am not watching my diet too much, so I have eaten what I want but just not in excess.
